Cambridge firms' strong show in San Francisco
Over the last week, thousands of game developers from all over the world have descended upon the Moscone exhibition centre in San Francisco to discuss their latest game projects and discover the creative possibilities of new digital technologies. From small creative applications for i-phone to huge and ambitious next generation console projects, computer games are becoming ubiquitous and GDC is the place where creative digital technology is scrutinised and debated amongst the leading lights and wannabes of the ever growing game development business.
First glimpse of the BAMZOOKi Director being used in the wild!
We’ve just come across a fantastic group of schools are currently running a BAMZOOKi Challenge 2009 inter-school competition!
On Friday they held the final heat and have now selected the finalists for the competition. It’s so inspiring to hear of schools and clubs using the software and to see children creating great tutorials such as the ones on the Newport school’s video website, NewTube. Keep it up guys! - Dylski
Zook building for National Science and Engineering Week!
This week we built and competed Zooks with classes of Year 4 and 5 of St Matthew’s School, Cambridge, as part of the UK’s National Science and Engineering Week. We were very impressed with how familiar the children were with the software already and a lot of fun was had. If you’re using the BAMZOOKi software in schools or colleges we’d be interested to know.
